meeting the famous

“Famous” people are just people like the rest of us, but it is nice on occasion to meet someone who is known by many people.

At Hamcom in June 2007, Hannah and Sarah got to meet VU2RBI, and hear both her and her daughter speak.  Very interesting.  Picture:

On April 23, 2005, LSDXA was fortunate to have two of the VU4 operators visit.  Bharathi VU2RBI, shown below, gave a very warm and gracious welcome to Hannah KE5CII (age 13), and encouraged her in her radio endeavors.  It was very interesting to hear her speak about the VU4 DXpedition and the tsunami relief efforts.
